CARDIONYL ® is a non-absorbable, monofilament, sterile, surgical suture composed of treated polyamide 6.6. Synthesized by polycondensation of two monomers hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid. The suture is frequently used when high mechanical strength, rigidity, good stability under heat and/or chemical resistance is required. Particularly in reconstructive surgery, mitral and aortic valve repair and closure of cardiac cavities.
CARDIONYL® Suture thread undergoes a specific treatment process to offer superior flexibility, a low-degree of memory, optimal elasticity and guaranteed knot strength requiring fewer knots.
CARDIONYL® Suture needles are composed of a refined stainless steel alloy for increased tensile strength and ductility, whilst providing excellent tissue penetration through an enhanced design of sharp taper point (precision point Micro) and Tapercutting (KL) coated needles coated in a high performance silicone coating.
